About Acupuncture

Acupuncture is a method of encouraging the body to promote natural healing and improve function. It is the stimulation of points that have the ability to alter biochemical and physiological conditions in order to achieve balance within the body. Acupuncture works to alleviate pain and boost the body’s natural responses to inflammation, posture misalignment, illness and infection. This ancient art of healing involves the insertion of very fine needles into specific points of the body.

Specializing in Sports Medicine Acupuncture®

Sports injuries are some of the most common reasons that many people seek acupuncture treatment.  Acupuncture has been proven to help reduce the pain and inflammation associated with localized trauma and injury, and can also facilitate healing.  Sports Medicine Acupuncture® incorporates principles from Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) and Western Sports Medicine for treating work, sport and orthopedic injuries.

Using orthopedic assessment, palpation and postural analysis, we will create a treatment plan designed to get you back to your normal activities as soon as possible. Treatment will consist of Acupuncture & bodywork techniques unique to your needs and corrective exercises to increase effectiveness.
